NYE 2026 lineups: the DJs and headliners playing Canada this New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve in Canada isn't only about DJs. This year's confirmed lineups so far include a trance headliner, three Canadian rock bands, a former INXS frontman and a run of tribute acts on casino stages. Below is every named act we've confirmed from the parties in our guide, as of October 29, 2026, grouped by the kind of night they're playing. New names are announced every week, and we'll add them as they appear.

The headliners

Andrew Rayel, with Daijo: Harbour Event Centre, Vancouver. 10 pm, 19+, from $50. Rayel is a Moldovan trance DJ and producer who placed No. 24 in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll in 2014 (outside: Wikipedia, DJ Mag). It's the headline electronic show on our list so far. The published ticket range runs up to $2,425.93, so there are table options for groups.

Trooper: Grey Eagle Event Centre, Calgary. 8 pm, all ages. The Vancouver band behind "Raise a Little Hell" was formed in 1975 by Ra McGuire and Brian Smith (outside: The Canadian Encyclopedia, Wikipedia). Prices aren't posted yet. With Streetheart in Winnipeg, it's one of two all-ages headline shows on our list.

JD Fortune Rocks INXS: Deerfoot Inn & Casino, Calgary. 11 pm in the Chrome Showroom, $89, or $99 for the first 10 rows. Fortune is the Canadian singer who won the TV contest Rock Star: INXS in 2005 and fronted INXS until 2011 (outside: Wikipedia).

Toque: Century Casino Edmonton. 9 pm in the Showroom. The lineup is Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz, Cory Churko and Shane Gaalaas. The band plays classic Canadian rock, and Kerns also plays in Slash's band (outside: Wikipedia, NOW Toronto). Prices aren't posted yet.

Streetheart: Club Regent Event Centre, Winnipeg. 8 pm, all ages, reserved seats at $44. The Canadian rock band had a hit with "Action" on its 1978 debut and won the 1980 Juno for most promising group (outside: The Canadian Encyclopedia, Wikipedia).

Tribute nights

If you'd rather sing along than discover something new, tribute acts own the casino and ballroom stages this year:

• Arrival (ABBA) and Dreams (Fleetwood Mac) at the Westin Calgary Airport gala, 6:30 pm, 18+, with dinner and the show from $99.
• Absolute Queen at Pure Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton, starting at 5 pm.
• Rave On at Pure Casino Edmonton, 6 pm, from $108.07.
• Hairmetal Hangover at Bunkers Live Pub in Edmonton. It's '80s hair metal from 9 pm, from $25.
• Angela Seeger & Fierce Rewind, playing '70s to '90s pop and rock, with David Davinci's Niagara Magic Live, at the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre in Niagara Falls. Dinner-and-show or show-only, from 6 pm.
• Alter Ego's Disco Fever at Hard Rock LIVE, Ottawa, 10:30 pm, 19+.

Local bands, big rooms and small ones

Some of the best value on New Year's Eve is a working band in a room that knows them:

• Calgary: Girl Crush brings country to Ranchman's, from $25. Silly Wrabbit plays the 90's Dance Party in the Deerfoot's Sundance Ballroom, from $35. Fraid Knot plays Celtic rock at the Bowness Legion.
• Edmonton: Bad Buddy and 36? play The Black Dog Freehouse from 10 pm, from $40.54.
• Winnipeg: The Funky Miracles lead a funk, soul and R&B bill with six guests at The Park Theatre, 18+, $32. Rockbuster plays rock covers at The King's Head Pub, from $20.
• Vancouver: Krash, Skraeling, Trenchraid and Brutalize share a punk and metal bill at The Cobalt, from $20, the cheapest live-music night in the city.
• Toronto: Wing Night brings '90s hip hop and R&B to the Danforth Music Hall at 9 pm. So far it's the only Toronto concert in our guide.
• Hamilton and Ottawa: Big John and the Night Trippers play Legion Branch 163 in Hamilton, from $20. The Guy Brisson Band plays the Hammond Golf and Country Club party, from $85.74.

DJ nights

• Toronto: Aaron Sevilla headlines FYE Ultraclub, from $65.10. John J and DJ Dk, hosted by MC Crazy Chris, play hip hop, R&B and afrobeats at the Resolution gala at Oria, from $22.90. DJ C4 plays four hours of top 40, house and reggaeton on the Jubilee Queen boat party. DJ Vlad and DJ Kafé spin kizomba at La Vegan.
• Vancouver: five DJs (Ryan Live, Rage, Skyline, El Nino and Kidd) cover top 40 to '90s across the Hotel Georgia gala. Ice West, Rashad, Rawkus, Dhextrus, Blinkz and Rae Diemendz bring afrobeats, dancehall and amapiano to the Afrobeach Mansion party in Richmond, from $44.06.
• Montréal: DJ Quest and DJ Happyman at Club Electric Avenue, from $34.94. See all Montréal club nights.
• Ottawa: DJ MACE, DJ RawRah, DJ Kam and DJ Casual at The Joint, Hard Rock Ottawa.
• Edmonton: DJ Tactik plays '90s and 2000s hip hop and R&B at The Dive Bar, from $20.
• Hamilton: DJ Shane P plays house at FUR in the Corktown Irish Pub, from $38.95.

Comedy headliners

• Kelly Taylor at The Laugh Shop, Calgary. Dinner and the show from $109.95.
• D.J. Demers, Jenn Labelle and Leonard Chan at Ottawa's 15th annual New Year's Eve Comedy Night at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 9 pm, 18+, $65.

Still to be announced

Plenty of parties haven't named their acts yet. Gatsby's House at Hotel X Toronto lists two DJs as "TBA", for example. The big free city celebrations in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Montréal hadn't announced their 2026 programs when we last checked. When lineups go up, we add them here and to each party's page.
