Why we like it

“A real live band with a countdown on stage, plus a casino, a club and a hotel under one roof for an easy night out.” — clubZone NYE editors

About this party

Hard Rock Ottawa's New Year's Eve theme for 2026 is Disco Fever, and the main event is in Hard Rock LIVE with Alter Ego. The group is back after last year, with seven singers and three musicians working through costume-heavy medleys of dance-floor classics. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the show runs from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., so the countdown happens with the band on stage.

The whole property is 19+, so bring photo ID (a second piece may be requested). Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster; the price wasn't showing when we checked, so look at the ticket page for current tiers.

There's plenty more around the show. A separate club night runs at The Joint from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., there's free live entertainment at the Council Oak Lounge and Hard Rock Cafe, and a casino promotion gives away $2,027 every two hours on New Year's Eve. The casino is on Albion Road in south Ottawa, so plan a ride, use the shuttle or book a hotel room rather than trying to get downtown after 1 a.m.
