What to know before you book
- "Gala" means two different nights here. Most are seated dinner galas: your ticket covers the meal and entertainment, and often the drinks. Gatsby's House is a standing cocktail party where appetizers last "while supplies last", so eat beforehand.
- Read the dress code literally. Chandni Victoria says strictly formal. Gatsby's House encourages a 1920s look but isn't strict black tie. Most of the others, including Oasis and the Glitter Gala, haven't published one; there, a suit or cocktail dress is a safe choice.
- Several sell by phone only. Chandni Victoria and the Glitter Gala at Paramount Eventspace take phone reservations. Oasis and Palacio haven't posted prices. To book a seat at any of those four, contact the venue or organizer directly.
- Check the finish time. Most galas end around 1 am. Versailles and the Glitter Gala run to 2 am, and Gatsby's House has last call at 1 am before closing at 1:30.
Getting there and home
Hotel X is at Exhibition Place; the suburban halls are easiest by car or rideshare, so name a driver if your ticket includes an open bar. See the Toronto guide's "Getting home" section for late transit.
