Why we like it

“A dancer's New Year's Eve with dinner included and role-balanced tickets, so the floor stays good until 3 am.” — clubZone NYE editors

About this party

Toronto's kizomba community is ringing in 2027 at La Vegan on the Danforth, with DJ Vlad and DJ Kafé playing the partner-dance night. Doors open at 9 pm and the dancing runs from 10 pm until 3 am. Unusually for a dance social, the ticket includes food: a dinner buffet, a sparkling drink and dessert are part of the price. Tickets are sold by role, with lead and follow at $50 each and couples at $90, which helps keep the floor balanced. The organizer notes that prices go up after December 1, and there is no admission at the door, so buy online in advance. Tickets can be transferred to another dancer but are not refundable. If you dance kizomba, semba or urban kiz, this is a far better use of the night than a crowded club. Greenwood and Coxwell stations on Line 2 are both within walking distance.

Directions

Plan your ride home before you head out. Check the TTC and GO Transit's New Year's Eve service plan: late or extra service is often announced in December. Book a taxi or rideshare early, because demand peaks right after midnight, and never drink and drive.
