Why we like it

“It's the only listing in the region promising an Afrobeats mansion party with its own midnight fireworks, and it runs late.” — clubZone NYE editors

About this party

Afrobeach Van is moving its party into a rented mansion in south Richmond for the countdown, and the format is the house-party fantasy done properly: red-carpet arrival, an indoor pool, a photo booth, and a backyard fireworks show at midnight. DJs Ice West, Rashad, Rawkus, Dhextrus, Blinkz and Rae Diemendz cover Afrobeats, dancehall, amapiano and hip-hop from 9 pm until 3:30 am, with hosts keeping the energy up. The first 50 guests get free champagne, the bar is fully licensed, and food is sold through the night. Overnight room rentals and table packages are available, which matters because this is not a quick SkyTrain ride home. It's 20+, the dress code is elegant, and all sales are final. Tickets start around $44 on Eventbrite, and tables run higher.

Directions

Plan your ride home before you head out. Check TransLink's New Year's Eve service plan: late or extra service is often announced in December. Book a taxi or rideshare early, because demand peaks right after midnight, and never drink and drive.
