Why we like it

“A friendly, affordable masked party in the suburbs, good for meeting people without downtown prices or queues.” — clubZone NYE editors

About this party

Ottawa Indian Events is hosting a Masquerade New Year Party at The Urban Centre on Bongard Avenue, in the Merivale area of Nepean. The idea is simple: put on a mask, dress up, and dance your way into 2027 with a sociable crowd. It's a good fit if you're new to the city or want to meet people rather than sit at a dinner table.

The party starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 31 December, and the listing shows it running until 11:59 p.m. Tickets on Eventbrite range from about $31 to $60 with fees, depending on the tier, and refunds are available up to seven days before the event.

The organizer hasn't published a DJ, menu or detailed timeline yet, so check the ticket page for updates nearer the date. The Urban Centre is in a business park with parking nearby, which makes it easier to reach by car than a downtown club on New Year's Eve. Bring a mask, because that's half the fun.

Directions

Plan your ride home before you head out. Check OC Transpo's New Year's Eve service plan: late or extra service is often announced in December. Book a taxi or rideshare early, because demand peaks right after midnight, and never drink and drive.
