About this party

Spending New Year's Eve single doesn't have to mean staying in. Single Gourmet's dinner and dance at the Sheraton on Albert Street is built for 35-plus singles who'd rather mingle than shout over a club speaker. It starts at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, live piano from Albert K, a welcome punch (with an alcohol-free option), an icebreaker game with prizes, and a photo station.

A four-course dinner follows at 7:30, with tables arranged by age range and wine available to order. Mains include an herb-marinated chicken supreme, and vegetarian and vegan options are available. At 9:30 DJ Ray starts a decades dance party, there's a sparkling toast at midnight, and dancing continues until 1 a.m.

The early-bird price is $159 for both ladies and gents until 11 December 2026. The dress code is suits and evening wear, and glitter is encouraged. Being downtown helps: you're a short walk from the Parliament O-Train station, and you could book a room upstairs so you don't have to find a ride home.
