About this party

If your idea of New Year's Eve is a long table, a proper dinner and a dance floor full of every generation, Il Centro is the East Van answer. The Italian Cultural Centre opens its doors at 6:30 pm, serves a festive dinner from its in-house kitchen at 7:30, then hands the night to live performers Lou Marocco and Stefanie Artuso until 1 am. Each guest gets one non-alcoholic drink and a glass of prosecco at midnight; wine and other drinks are sold through the night, and outside drinks aren't allowed. Dietary needs, including vegan and vegetarian meals, have to be flagged when you buy, because the kitchen can't change menus on the day. Children's dining options are listed on the ticket page, which makes this one of the easier family-friendly picks in the city. Refunds, minus Eventbrite fees, are available up to seven days before the event.
