About this party

LatinParty.ca and TorontoNightlife.com are bringing their Latin New Year's Eve to Playa by Tulum, on the second floor at 291 King Street West. The night is built around reggaeton, salsa and bachata, so expect a crowd that actually dances, with the floor open from 10 pm until 4 am. Groups can book VIP tables in three sizes: Bronze, Silver and Gold, with two, three and four bottles respectively. Tickets on Eventbrite run from about $12 to $23 with fees, and the organizer says only tickets bought through Eventbrite are honoured at the door, so skip resellers. Tickets are non-refundable. The event is 19+. It's a good option if you want Latin music start to finish instead of a top 40 set with a few reggaeton tracks thrown in. King West is busy all night, so the King streetcar or St. Andrew station is the easiest way home.

Plan your ride home before you head out. Check the TTC and GO Transit's New Year's Eve service plan: late or extra service is often announced in December. Book a taxi or rideshare early, because demand peaks right after midnight, and never drink and drive.
