About this party

Comedyville is taking over Estrella on the lower Main for an English-language stand-up show on New Year's Eve, and this ticket now covers more than the laughs. The show starts at 8 p.m. and runs about 90 minutes, with doors from 6 p.m. for anyone who wants to eat first. Food and drinks are sold separately, and the club asks for at least one food or drink order per person.

The bonus is the after-party: the organizer says the comedy ticket also gets you into Estrella's New Year's party from 11:30 p.m., in the same building, so you can laugh, grab a drink and stay put for the countdown without paying a second cover. Prices step up as the night gets closer, from a limited $25 presale to $35 early bird, $45 regular and $60 at the door, all before taxes and fees; on Eventbrite that works out to roughly $32 to $57 right now. The comedians haven't been named yet, which is normal this far out. Arrive early for better seats, and note that refunds close one day before the show.
